Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe
Statutes
Mines and Minerals Act

The company mines chrome and beneficiates it.

Steps of the chain

The company works steps one to three of five. Ore is sorted and crushed to a size the next stage can use. Concentration then raises the grade to something a smelter will contract for, and smelting belongs to the next party in the chain. Chrome leaves the country through the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe.

The plant is partial. Some stages of the chain are installed, and part of the material moves through the company’s own processing.

How the ground is held

As set out on the mining page, the company works ground under agreement with the party that holds the claims. A counterparty should ask to see that holder’s registration with the Ministry of Mines. Environmental approvals attach to a specific site, and the company obtains each one when the works require it.

The partner’s share

You take a share of the value beneficiation creates. The division offers that share, and it needs processing capital and an offtake relationship from a partner. A smelter or a trader with a contract is worth more here than a financier without one, because the contract is what makes completing the plant bankable.

Ground, figures and counterparties go to a partner under the non-disclosure agreement.
